Following some successful tweaks to our course in recent years, the Bathurst RSL Club Half and 10km course will remain the same in 2020.  We have found that it allows for greater spectator interaction through having runners complete a lap of the rugby field at both the start and finish of the event.  Based on competitor feedback, we have also been able to remove one of the short out and back sections that existed previously in the middle of the course.

The changes allow us to retain our flat and fast course which is perfect for the first time runner, or for the experienced runner chasing their next PB.

Starting at the Bathurst Rugby Club on Hereford Street, we run towards the Macquarie river and continue along its eastern path.  Runners then complete a route along the river lanes, out around the hockey fields, back around the lanes, before looping back to the start.

If you’ve run the half marathon event previously, you will remember that it’s important that prior to finishing at the Rugby Club, you will complete a second loop of the eastern end of Hereford  street, before returning to the finish.  We will have marshals at all critical points to direct runners to ensure you follow the correct route.  Our map below provides further detail.
